Why the Same Name Keeps Coming Up
Liz is ranked number one in Cornelius and in The Peninsula by closed sales volume. She has been inducted into the Christie's International Real Estate Master Circle three consecutive years, 2023, 2024, and 2025. In 2026 she closed one of the highest-priced homes in the town's history at 16439 Jetton Road. Across greater Charlotte Liz ranked in the top 25 of more than 18,000 licensed brokers.
The business compounds. Most of what Liz closes comes from people she has already worked with, or from someone they sent. A single strong year can be bought with advertising. Consecutive ones cannot, because they depend on how the last hundred transactions actually went for the people in them.
Much of it never reaches the MLS. A meaningful share of the highest-priced homes in Cornelius trade quietly, sellers who want no public price history and buyers who would rather not compete in the open. Reaching those requires relationships built over years, not a marketing budget. It is why she has built a strong off-market network, and it produces transactions that never appear as competition to anyone else.
Twenty-five years, three markets. Liz started in La Jolla working alongside top producers in coastal luxury, moved to new construction at One Charlotte, an ultra-luxury uptown development, and then to Lake Norman. La Jolla taught me that discretion is the product, not a courtesy. One Charlotte taught me how pricing and absorption actually work from the developer's side of the table. Both show up in how Liz prices a Cornelius listing.
What to Look for in Any Cornelius Agent
Including Liz. Ask for the following.
Closed transactions in your specific submarket in the last eighteen months. Not career totals. Ask for addresses.
Waterfront fluency, if water is part of your search. Ask how Duke Energy dock permitting works and what disqualifies a stretch of shoreline. The answer reveals quickly whether they have done this or read about it.
Where the business comes from. Several of the largest names marketing on this lake are referral platforms that capture your inquiry and route it to whoever bought the territory. Ask whether the person you are speaking with will actually list your home.
What they will tell you that you do not want to hear. An agent who agrees with your price before walking the house is not evaluating it.
